Kimmie Dewayne Hall Sr.

Mr. Kimmie D. Hall, Sr. (affectionately known as “Wayne”) was born June 6, 1963, in Jackson, TN through the union of Billy and Dorothy Hall. Kimmie accepted Christ into his life at an early age, he was a proud member of Glass City Church of Christ where he attended until he left Toledo to relocate to Charlotte, NC. In Charlotte he was attending Mountain Island Church of Christ under the leadership of Minister Brother Joe Williams. Kimmie loved the fellowship with all the people that he encountered at Mountain Island, and Bro Clyde Gilbert became his friend, boss, and confident, up until he departed this life on November 29, 2024. Kimmie graduated from Macomber High School in June of 1981, and then joined the United States Army right after, high school. After, serving 4 years active (serving in the Iranian War) and the remainder of his career was in the reserves. In 2014 Kimmie became a retired veteran serving 23 years. While putting in his time in the reserves he attended the University of Toledo where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 1998 Kimmie met Cynthia E. Overton, and they wed on December 2, 2000, and to this union 2 children were born. Kimmie was always a hard worker, he worked several jobs Benore Logistic System Inc., Erie, MI, where he was promoted as the plant manager. Allen Logistics, Whitehouse, OH, Crown Cork & Seal, Toledo, Ohio. In the year 2014 Kimmie and Cynthia moved to Charlotte, NC. With this move Kimme obtained his CDL license and became a long-haul truck driver for Ward Trucking Company. Once Kimmie left Ward Trucking he began to work and drive for A & D Precast till his passing. Kimmie loved to travel when enlisted in the Army that was one of the perks that he loved. He also enjoyed trying different food, but his favorite places to eat and his true love, were going to the Chinese Buffets, Golden Corral, and Bob Evans. When he lived in Toledo, he loved the fellowship to go out to eat with the brotherhood. Kimmie enjoyed the game of football win or lose (mostly lost) he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys’ fan. He also enjoyed being outdoors if it was going for a walk or to different jazz events throughout Michigan and Ohio. He also had a big heart for animals. He had four cherished “Grand dogs” that to him did no wrong (Dalilah, Louie, Midnight, and Bella) with a special mention of the dog he never forgot but always remembered and loved (Phoebe Lynn and Pooter). He gave to the ASPC every year. Kimme was known and loved to spend time with the people that provided him with wisdom, and tough love Virtie Trice “Big Momma”, Ms. Lizzie, and Charlene Donly (all deceased). To know Kimmie was to love him! Kimmie was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy & Billy Jack Hall, sister Mary Hall, and grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Cynthia; daughter Kimmoni “Moni” Hall; son Kimmie “KJ” Hall (Charlotte, NC); bonus daughter Marteesha Overton (Gastonia, NC); sisters Vicki Hall (Toledo, OH), Stella Williamson (Columbus, OH); bonus sisters/cousin Jeanne Hunt (Jackson, TN), Nadeline Jones, Dorothy Hill, Audrey Hickman (all of Toledo, OH); brother Tony Hall (Cincinnati, OH), bonus brothers Quinton Donly, Charles Jones (Toledo, OH); bonus grandsons KeiMar Willams, and Kaiden Hartfield (Gastonia, NC); nieces Sherese Hall (Orlando, FL), Chemiese Hall (Augusta, GA), Nicole “Nikki” Hall (Toledo, OH), Sonny Thronton (Columbus, OH); bonus nieces Monica “Dimples” Donly-Fitzpatrick, Janet Tarver, and Taishia Loveless (all Toledo, OH); nephews Montriese Hall, Bruce Holloway, and Miles Fane (all Toledo, OH); bonus nephews James Hickman, Jercardo Tarver (all of Toledo, OH); He had (9) great nieces and (11) great-nephews, and special great-great nephew (Ahmad Ali ). Kimmie was also blessed with a loving extended family, including a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends as well as three brothers-in-law James (Moon), Tony, and Devaughn Overton (all of Toledo).
