Maggie Gray

Maggie Lee Gray was born on November 28, 1935 in Chicot, Arkansas. At the age of thirteen she moved to Toledo, OH with her mother. Maggie was the youngest of four siblings, Maggie accepted Christ at an early age and maintained a strong sense of spirituality throughout her life. Maggie received her education through the Toledo Public School System attending Edward Drummond Libbey High School. On October 14, 1958 Maggie was united in Holy matrimony with Robert Louis Gray Sr., to this union fourteen children were born. Although Maggie gave birth to fourteen there are far more in number for whom she held the title of Mom, because she was a great cook her love was shown by giving a meal and through that the recipe of love was the true gift, she never turned a stranger away, she always aspired to open her own shelter to help the under privileged, she was a wise funny and quick witted woman who loved life and living. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, but most importantly a woman of great faith. Maggie departed this world of sin, sorrow and pain on Monday evening November 16, 2009. Having completed her earthly mission. Preceded in death her parents William McNair and Fannie Moore, brother William McNair, two granddaughters Ra Kerah Gray, Mianna Moore, grandson Aaron Agler and husband Rev. Robert Louis Gray. She leaves to cherish her children Dona (Kim) Burt of Atlanta, GA, Dennis McNair of Indianapolis, IN, Edgar McNair of Toledo, OH, Robin Patterson of Toledo, OH, Manuel (Meredeth) Gray of Indianapolis, IN, Ulysses (Melissa) Gray of Dubuque, IA, Minister Anthony (Trinesia) Gray of Detroit, MI, Tammy Gray, Caroline Gray, Linda (David) Gray all of Toledo, OH, Robert (Tina) Gray of Madison, WI, Aundray Gray of Dallas, TX, Marquette Gray of Fort Wayne, IN, Tycie (Evan) Gray of Toledo, OH, two sisters Willie P. Campbell of Toledo, OH, Laura Wiggins of Gallington, TN; seventy-six grandchildren; sixty-two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
