Wanda L. Williams was born on November 23rd, 1959 to James and Janice Williams. She departed this life in comfort and peace, surrounded by her loving family on May 26th, 2021. She was raised in Toledo, Ohio where she attended Scott High School and took many jobs to take care of her children. She worked for several years at Sun Refining and Marketing Company, and as a construction worker for the UAW Local 12. In 1983, she was joined in marriage to Samuel Williams, who preceded her in death. Wanda was humorous and a joy to be around. She enjoyed listening to her music loud, reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She had been baptized and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Wanda was the epitome of strength and courage, facing life head on until her last moments. She will be remembered for her virtuous honesty, and for the love and protection she gave to all of her family. Wanda kept an open door for anyone in need, offering shelter to many people over the years. Waiting for Wanda to gain her wings, was her brother Clifford Williams, daughter; Janice Williams, father; Cubia Hannah Jr. and former spouse Samuel Williams. Wanda is survived by her loving parents James and Janice Williams, her only son; Tony Phillips, daughters; Shari Phillips, Mary Williams, Sarah Williams, Mia (Deangelo Johnson) and Yvonne Williams, brothers; Michael and Charles (Christine) Phillips, Vincent Williams, Daniel(Colleen), Jelani (Rhonda) and Shomari (Margarita) Hannah. She leaves also to cherish her memory; 22 beloved grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, her special love of over 20 years; Charles (Mookie) Searcy, and a host of other loving relatives & friends.
