John Renfroe was born September 12TH 1948, to the union of John H. and Ora L. Renfroe. He passed suddenly and unexpectedly on April 6, 2017 in Toledo Hospital. That September 12 of 1948 was a Sunday, remembered by his family as an especially bright day, for being introduced to their quintessentially Virgo baby brother. Who through the years, would indeed be proven to be a very positive, reliable and modest man, for nearly his entire life. He attended St. Benedict Elementary School, Toledo Central Catholic, and Catholic Central of Monroe, Michigan. He graduated from Scott High School in 1968. Initially after high school, he worked mostly in buliding mantenace. Thereafter, he was hired by Dana Corporation, and worked on the assembly line. He became ill with a long- term disability, which he endured for almost twenty of his mid-life years. Through the persistence of effort, and prayer, he sufficiently recovered, which allowed him to assist with caregiving to his ailing parents, with whom he lived, and loved. until they both passed to their own glory. He was precceeded in death by his parents, his grandmother Stella James, his sister Barbara (Roy) Threadgill, and his brother Gerald. He is survived by his brother Tyrone, his niece Deborah Threadgill, his nephews, John G. Renfroe, Terrence Threadgill, and Micheal (Mae) Threadgill, a host of relatives and friends, amongst them, special aunts Thelma Moore, and Juanita Cargile. The family is especially grateful for the attention and care given John by Drs. Ketlee Daniel and David Oram.
