Hilda Mareice Harris Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hilda Maurice Harris was born May 13, 1961 to the union of Lincoln Maurice Harris and Mary Louise Oakes and she left this world to be at peace with our Lord and Savior on July 7, 2022. Hilda was educated at Zion Lutheran Church until eighth grade and was Christened at Saint Anthony’s Parish. Hilda went on to graduate from Saint Ursula Academy in 1979. She also pursued a lifelong career in helping others while working for the Red Cross for several years and ultimately becoming an organ donor in which, in her passing saved three other lives. Toledo Hospital staff responded with, “she is a hero!” In her later years Hilda joined the First Missionary Baptist Church of Holland, Ohio on October 18, 2020 and was baptized under the Christian faith November 8, 2020 believing in the blood of Christ. Preceding her in death, her parents Lincoln Harris and Mary Oakes; aunt Bernice Johnson; uncle Joseph Lynn Session Sr.; and first cousin Joseph Lynn Session II. Hilda leaves behind to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, her son Lincoln Maurice Harris the second; aunt Mattie Taylor; first cousins Arthur Taylor Junior, Matilda Winters, Kelly Lynn Session Williams, Dena Session, and Joy Session; her lifelong best friend and sister of 55 years Lisa Williams; Joanne Brown who’s been a good friend to her over the last 3 yrs.; and special friend Edward Kirkwood of Illinois in which she met in 1993, his words “ she is his hero, his angel, and he loved her very much”; and she also leaves to cherish her memory a host of family and friends , she will truly be missed.
