Helen I. Warren, age 94, of Toledo, OH died on Friday, June 17, 2016. She was born in Haddock, Georgia on May 22, 1922 to Charles and Ella B. (Ford) Green.Helen was preceded in death by her husband, David Warren. Helen had a very thoughtful, compassionate and creative nature which complimented her very well in her profession as a seamstress/tailor for Russell's Formal Wear. She was a faithful member of Phillips Temple CME Church where she was an enthusiastic Sunday school teacher. Helen also enjoyed memberships in the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs, N.A.A.C.P., and the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary.She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends. Wake service will be held at Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church, 565 Palmwood Ave., Toledo, OH on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral following at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Dewayne Archie, officiating, Rev. Nicholas Betts, pastor. Interment will follow at Forest Cemetery.
