Dorothy Griffin

Dorothy Marie Griffin 74, passed away July 19, 2018 at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. Born and raised in Toledo, she graduated from Libbey High School in 1962. Subsequently, she attended Stautzenberger Institute majoring in a clerical program which prepared her for all of her future employment. She worked for TolTest for twenty- five years. She volunteered at the Warren Sherman and served as the President of their community council as well as volunteer in many other areas. She worked with Marcy Kaptur’s campaigns and her other community projects. she has a long history of community activism in the City of Toledo. Dorothy was an avid photographer, cook and traveler. She helped to raise all of her grands, great grands, and other children that happened to come into her loving care. Dorothy was preceded in death by her two Sons Steven and Marc Griffin, Sister Sharon Strode, Brothers Conrad King and Paul King and loving parents Percy King and Sadie Price. She leaves a loving family which included sons Gary Griffin, Craig Griffin, and Dale (Denyine) Griffin, Sister Sheila (Zachary)Hogue, Two Stepsons Thomas Pirtle and Fred Brown, Special Daughter Tracy Pritchett, Goddaughter Candice Williams, 17 Grandchildren, 22 great Grandchildren and many other Relatives and many Friends.
