Darrell Hartfield Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Darrell LaMont Hartfield, 56, passed away May 5, 2014 at Serenity Hospice Center, Phoenix, AZ with his loving family. He was born January 3, 1958, in Toledo, OH. Darrell worked for 20 plus years at Daimler Chrysler Jeep before retiring on medical leave. Darrell accepted Christ and was baptized at Third Baptist Church, Toledo, Ohio. He was a man of strength, as well as gentleness and who loved life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Miles Simiel Hartfield Sr.; stepfather, Milton Robinson; three brothers, Miles Simiel Hartfield Jr., Tony Franklin and Keith Hartfield. Darrell leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother, Carolyn Jean Robinson; three children, Dorian Staunton (Jonnae), Cincinnati, OH, Rashel Nicole Jones-Reditt (Lee Reditt), Phoenix, Arizona and Kisar Flounders of Toledo, OH; stepchildren, Kevin Wright, Toledo, OH, Kionna Chenevert, Cleveland, OH and Kristina Wright, Toledo, OH; two brothers, Kevin Louis Hartfield, Toledo, OH, and Keith Hartfield (Summer), Toledo, OH; three sisters, Desiree Hartfield, Toledo, OH, Sabrina Hartfield, Toledo, OH and Kim Hartfield, Toledo, OH; 9 grandchildren; special aunt, Joann King, San Luis Obispo, California; caring friend, Shirley Key, Toledo, OH; a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, cousins and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel, wake service 10 a.m. Friday followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. at Third Baptist Church, Rev. K. David Johnson officiant. The family wishes to give special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff of Serenity House Hospice Center, Phoenix, Arizona, Deer Valley Dialysis Center, Phoenix, Arizona, Wildwood Dialysis Center, Toledo, Ohio, and the University Medical center of Toledo, Ohio. You did a wonderful job in caring for Darrell Hartfield and taking care of his medical needs. .
