Ressie Mae Cason, 84, of Toledo, Ohio joined her husband Wilbert Cason Sr., Friday, March 1, 2013. She worked for Toledo Head Start retiring after 25 years of service. Ressie was a proud graduate of Love Joy High School in Mound City, Illinois. She valued education and believed a parent was a child's first teacher. After all her children went off to school she went to work for Toledo Head Start retiring after 25 years of service. She touched the lives of many children and their families. Teaching was her passion and the "love of her life."

Ressie was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosie McFarland, Catherine Parnell, Eddie Mae Johnson and Mildred L. Wells, and two brothers, Dan and Roosevelt Holmes. She is survived by Will (Dinah) Cason, Wayne (Angela) Cason, Warren (Lorene) Cason, L. Denise (Frank) Moore, Vicki Smith, Brenda and Suzette Cason; special granddaughter, Tonya Cason; sister, Betty L. Cason and host of relatives and kind friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 4:00-6:00 p.m. Dale-Riggs Funeral Home, funeral service will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. New Life Church of God in Christ, 1215 Oakwood, Bishop Edward T. Cook, officiant, interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
