Melvin Curtis Stoudamire Sr., 81, passed away on August 24, 2010, at Toledo Hospital. A native of Toledo Ohio, he attended Toledo Public Schools. He was employed by Chrysler Jeep for 47 years and was a member of UAW Local 12 retiring in 1992. He was a member of New Life C.O.G.I.C. where he served as a deacon and sang in the choir. He was also active with the LaGrange Development Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Stoudamire, son, Melvin Stoudamire Jr., sister, Pressie Blakely and brother, James Stoudamire. He leaves to cherish his memory children, Deborah (Marsion) Green of Yelm, WA, son, James Stoudamire of Saudi, Arabia, stepsons, David and Kenny Stills, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren sister, Eva Mae Oxner, sister in law Frances Stoudamire, special nephew, David Oxner and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5-7p.m. Thursday September 2, 2010 followed by wake service from 6-8p.m. at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service 11a.m. Friday September 3, 2010, at New Life C.O.G.I.C.
