Patricia Hughes, 72, passed away August 22, 2010, at her home. Born and raised in Toledo, she was a life time member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a Deaconess, usher, past president and past treasurer of the American Baptist Women, and a member of the Ruth Circle. Mrs. Hughes worked with vacation bible school and served as co chair of the church directory. She retired in 2000 after many years with Ontario Department Store, University of Toledo and Food Town where she worked as a manager. She was an avid bowler and a chapter member of the African American Women's Cancer Support Group. She was preceded in death, in 2005, by her husband of nearly 50 years Oliver Hughes and leaves to cherish her memory sons, Kevin (Shawn) Hughes of Toledo, OH, Rev. Terrence (Rachel) Hughes, of Denver, CO; two daughters, Cheryl Hughes of Toledo, OH and Bonnie Hughes of Denver, CO; sisters, Willa Mae (Johnny) Hughes, Odessa Carwell also of Toledo; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of relatives and dear friends.
