Chrysler-Jeep Retiree Gwendolyn B. Myers, 64, of Toledo, OH, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, OH. Gwen was born to Elco and Bessie Brown on May 4, 1946, in Greensboro, NC. The family later moved to Alabama. She married her High School Sweetheart (Thomas V. Myers) and relocated to Toledo, OH. She was an alumnus of Davis Business College, Toledo, OH, and North Highland High School, Prattville, AL. She retired from Chrysler-Jeep Corporation after 30 years of service. She was an active campaigner for the United Way, and Goodwill Industries. Her passions were caring and giving of her time and energy to help others. She was a member of the First Church of God, Toledo, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Gwendolyn B. Myers leaves to cherish her memories husband of 46 years, Thomas V. Myers; 4 sons, Karl A. Myers, Thomas V. Myers Jr. (Terri), of Toledo, OH, Matthew Reese (Sedona) of Prattville, AL, Eddie Reese (Denise) of Booth, AL; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, 4 sisters; 4 aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home with wake service following from 6-8 p.m. Family Hour 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the First Church of God, 3016 Collingwood Blvd. and funeral service to follow at 12:00 noon, The Honorable, Rev. Dr. Robert A. Culp officiating. Interment Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. www.dalefh.com
