Iola “Jean” Vines
“Jeannie”
Iola “Jean” Vines (Jeannie) age 71, of Toledo, passed Monday August 16, 2010 at Toledo Hospital. She was born July 5, 1939 to the union of Dewitt Scisum Sr. and Florence (Mack) Scisum. Iola was one of five sibling’s. She graduated from Scott High School she also attended Libby High School. Iola Vines was married to (3) loving husbands Theodore Valentine, Jimmie Lee Jones, who became friends to her present husband David Vines. She believed in remaining friends and keeping families together. She was employed by Frisch’s Big Boy at Byrne and Heatherdowns, for 43 years retiring in 2003. She was preceded in death by both parents, 1 sister Ivalene Quinn, 1brother Timothy Scisum. She is survived by husband David Vines, daughter, Marcia Valentine, son Terrence (Ashley) Jones Sr., 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, 1 sister Rose Spears, 1 brother DeWitt Scisum Jr, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and dear friends.
Jeannie loved and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, cooking for family and friends. Jeannie loved entertaining she was the life of the party, and watching the stories and recording the ones she missed when she had to attend to family affairs. Jeannie enjoyed most of all being with her Children, Grandchildren, Family, and Friends and helping others. She woke up everyday living life to the fullest.
Visitation will be Friday 2-5 p.m. wake service Saturday 12 p.m. with funeral service following at 1 p.m. all at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Dr. Langston C. Bannister, officiant, burial Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. www.dalefh.com
