Arnold Gilbert (Smith) Haithcock 74, affectionately known as “Peanut” passed from this life to the next Monday August 6, 2007 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, after a long illness. Born November 7, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio, the third of eight children to Clarence and Irene (Smith) Haithcock. He resided in Toledo, Ohio all his life and attended Toledo Public Schools. He was a born again believer who gave his life to God in his later life. Arnold enjoyed roller skating and worked at many establishments as a bartender. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth (Smith) Haithcock and one sister Joan Potter. He leaves to cherish his memory one brother Leonard Haithcock, 4 sisters, Wilhelminia Garland Williams, Patricia McFarland, Clara Lynn Haithcock and Irene (Charles) Roberts all of Toledo and many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Wake service will be 10a.m.-12noon Friday followed by Funeral service at 12 noon all at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Arthur J. Battle officiant burial Forest Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to St.Vincent Mercy Medical Center staff on floors 4A, 4B and 5A, Lake Park Nursing Home staff and the Central Dialysis Center for their care and support.
