Roy G. Rice Sr. 70 passed away on January 1, 2008 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Born in Mounds IL, he lived in Toledo since 1955. He retired as a diesetter from Daimler Chrysler in 1998 after 30 years of service. Roy was a faithful member of Bibleway Temple. He was a member of UAW and he enjoyed hunting, traveling and was a motorcyclist. He leaves to cherish his memory loving wife of 50 years Juanita B., sons Roy Jr., Scott, Vincent (Nicole) and Carlos (Lajuan) Rice, daughters, Tonya Rivers, Angel and Judy Rice, goddaughters, Johanna Bransford of Cincinnati, OH, and Pam Norris, godsons, Bryan Bransford of Cincinnati, OH and Tim Wazbinski, brothers, Lawrence of Los Angeles, CA, Robert Earl (Janice) and Raymond (Geneva) Rice both of Chicago, IL, sisters, LuAnna McDade of Cleveland, OH, Edith Hall and Carrie Rice both of Chicago, IL and Emma Lee, 25 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, best friends Mike Coffey, Henry Jackson and Benny Leonard and a host of nieces, nephews other loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday 5-8p.m. at Dale-Riggs Chapel wake service 11:00a.m. Tuesday followed by funeral service at 12 noon at Bibleway Temple Elder Bruce Mitchell officiant burial Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
